Just now listening to a republican strategist explain that people voted with their pocketbook.....so the republicans had nothing to worry about. If true,,....thats scarey.
Considering how many Republicans own so much of the economy and the government, I'm puzzled about how the poor can ''vote'' any other way.
They generally do vote their pocket books, but the lower middle class and poor people tend to vote republican often, which is never to their benefit. Stupidity is the only answer I can come up with for people doing the same thing over and over when it is always to their detriment.
It's the definition of insanity, isn't it? Doing the same thing, over and over, expecting that THIS time...it'll work....
@LucyLoohoo I prefer to think there are millions of stupid people as opposed to millions of crazy people. It sounds less threatening to me.
@Sticks48 I see what you mean...however....stupidity can be fixed with education. Insanity's an entirely different thing. Those're the people who won't get better without medical intervention. When I see photos of the ''MAGA mobs"...or when I see them in person (shiver) there's a look in their eyes that's really scary.
@LucyLoohoo That is not true. $9% of Americans have IQs in double digits. Not all of those are in the 90's. And yes they are scary.
