This reflects my views. We’re all passionate but I prefer when people can articulate what they’re thinking.
I grew up in a time when swearing was punctuation and not a standard part of the vocabulary.

The fuck makes you think this is about cursing? It's about raising ones voice, not about the choice of one's verbage.

@Grahame NO, IT'S ALL CAPS THATS RAISING YOUR VOICE.

Punctuation is emphasis and clarification, is it not?

Fucking newbies*

  • that's considered an insult.

@Grahame "Raise your words, not your voice". That's from the meme you posted, not me, and in fact is why this whole shitstorm started, BECAUSE IT DOESN'T FUCKING MATCH THE ACCOMPANYING TEXT YOU POSTED.

The meme is about raising ones voice, while your text is about punctuation. On line - which is where we are - all caps is raising your voice. It's been that way for fucking ever. Learn and adapt.

The challenge is dealing with idiots, so yeah, right now I am challenged.

There's actual, verafyably studies that flat contradict this, btw: Swearing is used by inarticulate people as a sentence filler and as a form of abuse. So this "link" exists only in your prudish mind.
