Hilarious video exposes Trump supporters urging Americans to ‘read the transcript’ — but admitting they haven’t.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly said urged Americans to read the rough transcript of his July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that it totally vindicates him. (It doesn’t.) A hilarious video tweeted by “The Daily Show” finds some Trump supporters echoing his assertion that Americans should read the transcript — even though they haven’t read it themselves.

In the video, Trump supporters can be seen insisting that the Ukraine scandal “is bullshit.” One Trump supporter notes that he has not read the transcript but says that others should, and another has similar thoughts — echoing Trump’s “read the transcript” rhetoric but saying that he has not read it. “I can read it if I need to,” he says.

That Trump supporter urges Americans, “Don’t be a sheep. Think for yourself” — and part of that, he says, is reading the transcript. But he admits that he hasn’t read the transcript, and he’s just taking the word of the somebody else that it’s all fine.
