Any Hospice workers on this site?
I played music wellness programs, hired as an entertainer in healthcare facilities, after 20 years of not being able to make a living as a jazz flutist (I don't double on sax and women are still only about 3% of jazz instrumentalists). I loved my work - I would profile people and try to pick songs they may have listened to during their adolescence, when our identities are forming. Twice I woke folks up who doctors could not rouse (comas?) and often was thanked profusely by the residents themselves. One woman even said, "You make me glad I live here" which is quite a compliment. Anyway, it's quite different from hospice so maybe I should stop there~
I was an RN in Hospice care from 1998-2002. I did in-home care.
@Bn4fE5 Not at all, glad to talk about it.
