Mock religions: What are your opinions on that?
What is your favorite?
Would you join one given the opportunity?
Do you agree with the strategy of a mock religion to simplify the access of non religious thinking in spaces where only religions have access?
One example is the Pastafarianism: [spaghettimonster.org]
I find it nice, and they even recognize that not believing in the monster is not an excuse to not be part of it because in other churches there are many people that are there only for status and do not follow/believe their doctrines.
Plus the "The 8 I’d Really Rather You Didn’ts" are amazing humane and a nice base text against religions.

To me it is student rag week humour which is great.
Just imagine if Christianity was the same prank on Judaism lampooning their expected messiah and it just got out of hand. You know when you make a joke but everyone runs with it then it’s too late to stop the bus!

All religions are mock religions, there is no such thing as a real religion a "real" religion implies the existence of the supernatural, there is no such thing as the supernatural.
Pastafarianism is a parody of religion and religious practice.

I don't bother. My job is taking care of me and mine, not belittling or mocking others for their beliefs. People should be free to believe or disbelieve as they so choose. Now if that crosses over to trying to push it onto me to believe their way then all bets are off.
I do try to reason with them first, insisting I'm not trying to make them change their minds on their own beliefs and would appreciate if they left me to mine. If they refuse to let it go or try insults and ignorance then it can fairly quickly turn into comments about "invisible wish daddy in the clouds" kinds of comments. Mostly leave it to grins and shrugs, a possible wink or nod here and there, and then just walking away.
I have to say, I do take on a little pleasure from the pastafarian stuff... they is just silly.
