Why is it permitted to proselytize the existence of a supernatural realm called paradise? They are deluded and they are getting away with spreading their mental illness, GROG

Hi, to me is just another way to keep people stupid and have good slaves with the promise of an illusory future. My problem is really to understand why so many people believe it. I agree with you they are, indeed, spreading their mental illness.!

Here is a short video you might find interesting.

@GROG
It's permitted because the only mechanism we have for not permitting it is our government, and we don't want the government telling us what we can or can't believe about anything, let alone about things that can't be proven.

From the video you are using to support your claim of connection between religion and mental illness:

6:24 "I am not saying, ooh some snotty - you gotta be crazy to be religious. That's nonsense. Nor am I saying even that most people who are, are psychiatrically suspect. I'm not saying that in the slightest."

There is definitely a higher realm of reality than the one we experience through our senses. That higher realm is not supernatural—everything is natural, and labeling phenomena we don’t understand as supernatural is not helpful.

I like to think that we are in heaven right now—that every moment of conscious awareness is “heaven”, even though we lack the awareness to fully appreciate that heaven.

Christians trying to worm their way into heaven by willing themselves to believe certain things—now that is quite a spectacle, but I wouldn’t call it a mental illness. It’s just people being people. Religion has been an intrinsic part of humanity for millennia. If you are human you are not above religion.

If you can't experience something through your senses, what good (or bad) is it? On "labeling phenomena".. a phenomena is something that occurs, it is detectable, measurable. The supernatural is outside of natural. The supernatural can only be imagined. A higher realm? I would say that "realm" is that which unites humanity. The monotheists are dividers. GROG

@GROG What good are all those patterns of zeros and ones in your computer, the ones that open and close the transistors? You can’t see them but without them your computer would be junk.

The everyday world of our senses is imaginary and symbolic and is nothing like ultimate reality beyond. There is nothing supernatural whatsoever about ultimate reality. The so called concrete word of our experience however is ephemeral, ghostly, and temporary. We live in the supernatural, but it is only imaginary.
