The fires are up in the north .What are they doing to the sky down south? Is that a sunset or a Sunrise?A re U down under know?
Hello there. Yes I do live in Australia, in Canberra the Capital. The fires are just about all over the continent. They are a couple of kilometres from us, that is why the sky is the way it is. It is at sunset. Days are hazy and filled with smoke. By 21 December 2019, the fires had burnt over 3,000,000 hectares, destroyed over 700 houses and killed at least 9 people with at least one unaccounted for. So here we are hoping for rain.
@Jolanta Although I live in Utah now, I'm from so. cal. so I sympathize with you. Global warming will only make these fire worse. You seem to know quite a lot about American politics. I'm very surprised to hear you're from Australia. Through my life in Calif. I lived at the beach and met many Australianswho seemed to me to be a lot like other surfers from where I'm from. I hope you are enjoying this holiday season, I've been following your comments on this site for sometime now and I enjoy and respect your input!
