Silver Falls State Park Oregon. Lower south falls. Great hike with 10 waterfalls in Oregon's largest state park.

Been there and our favorite fall was the one that flowed over a cave. The cave's roof was full of petrified roots from a former forest the grew above the cave. It's a loop trail. Thanks for the memory.

I did that hike some years back. That is absolutely the most amazing and beautiful state park I’ve ever seen!

I was raised just outside of Aumsville, OR. On weekends during the summer months I'd ride my bike up to the park. That was in the 1940s and almost no one was there most of the time. I have fond memories.

@happyhiker1 -- We had a small farm there. The place is not at all like it was, but it is still small. Have a good trip, stay safe, and be well.

Misty air must smell marvelous but I am not walking for miles if I cannot swim and get a neck and back massage from mother nature

Would I be allowed a vigorous shower there next August on a hot sunny day ?

@happyhiker1 great ...those are now on my bucket list when I return to Portland

What a great hike! Got nothin’ like that around Kansas City.

@bobbyzen. You need elevation change for a waterfall... πŸ˜‰
