Sure Solamini was an evil man with the blood of Americans on his hands, as well as the blood of thousands of others, but that fool in the White House made a terrible blunder to take him out without consulting with his aides, Congress or our allies.

The British, late in WWII, had chances to kill Hitler, Who had taken over conduct of the war from his more competent generals. Hitler was making so many blunders, the British decided to leave him there. Just because someone is evil doesn't mean it is cost effective to kill them.

Solamini was a cult leader to his militias. They had a religious reverence for him. It is unclear if the Iranian Gov't can control what they do. Iranians have a cult of martyrdom. Young men strapped on suicide vests & jumped under tanks in the Iran-Iraq war to attain martyrdom. We have made Solamini a huge martyr.

Trump says a war with Iran will be over quickly. Remember in Gone With The Wind, where they were having a ball at the mansion & news came of the attack on Fort Sumpter. All the young bucks jumped on their horses, said they would "Whup those Yankees" in 2 weeks, & rode off. That was the start of the Civil War. Remember August, 1914, where the Germans & French thought they were going to have a skirmish for a couple of weeks. That was the start of WWI.

Many people are talking about the movie Wag the Dog, where a president gets in trouble for a sex scandal & starts a war to distract the public. Notice Impeachment is off the front pages. But Trump has started something neither he nor anyone else can control. This could be immensely tragic.--Bob M.
