Belief and knowledge are not the same thing...as we constantly point out to those who believe in god. This is no different in my view, and without empirical proof it can only speculation that there is other life in the universe, even if logic suggests it to be probable.

If one star in a million has one planet with life near it, there are two hundred thousand worlds with life in the milky way and tens of trillions in the universe. Have they visited Mother Earth? Most respectable scholars say that there is no good evidence. But other respectable people such as pilots and astronauts have reported very interesting things. Who knows.

I believe there is much more life out there. Whether they have payed us a visit or not, I have no idea. Just because we don't know how to get there doesn't mean they don't know how to get here. At one time Native Americans didn't know there was a there until they were visited by people from there.

I would think there has to be something with that much space.
