"The earth bursts with life. Far right exclusionary religion bursts with death. If there is a creator of life He/She/It must hate fundamentalist religion.

The countries in the world that are the most fundamentalist and religious, and/or those whose identity is most religion-based, are the world’s greatest troublemakers. Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Vatican City and the state of Israel come to mind.

If the rest of the human race could find a time machine to roll back the clock and make a world where these countries/city states had never existed we’d live in a better world.". Church&State.Org

However, humanity being what it is, would have come up with something else equally destructive.

Since Soleimani was killed, someone else similar to him has taken his place. Similarly, on a large scale, if Iran had never existed, it would not prevent something similar from having existed. Such changes would require a change in the nature of human beings. That happens, but it happens extremely slowly.

So you are challenged in being enabled to see that Soleimani was neither the start nor the end and in fact is not a cause.

@FrayedBear No, you've completely misunderstood. Hypothetically eliminating a specific nation from history would not necessarily eliminate the behavior. Eliminating one bad actor does not prevent others from being bad actors.

@Omnedon it has been suggested that co-operation is the more usual norm than warfare/ bad behavior.

Christopher Hitchens would heartily agree.

I'm pausing for a moment trying to find a single benefit of fundamentalism but I've got nothing.
