I feel like an alien in my own land. Nobody understands me. Nobody really knows me.

All my friends have an imaginary friend!

How many of you feel like this?

I should… and venturing any deeper into the hinterlands, I might. But I don’t. There are ..just enough sane people within my community to hang out with some culture, when & if needed.. Plus, I’m known to befriend misfits 🙂

I never think about it, and never have. I really never thought about it until I joined this site.

Sounds about right. At least you know it. Plenty don’t!

I don’t feel like an alien, but I feel profoundly bewildered by my existence as a consciously aware being in this mysterious realm in which we find ourselves.

Let's just say that I don't worry about whether anyone understands me except when writing. As for the knowing me, that's a given. Even those closest to me don't know me, just their perception of me. It's all good. About the imaginary friend thing, perhaps you need to make new friends.

Do you have any friends in real life who don't have an invisible imaginary friend? How did you meet them? Do you belong to a local atheist community where you meet regularly?

Not I.
