Some of you have dismissed the idea that Christians are trying to reshape government to support a Christian state. Here is another example.

Not me, they are a crazy and sometimes nasty bunch of people. I have a membership in FFRF.

Not me. Some Christians have been trying to do that, and at times quite successfully, for 244 years.

Not dismissive At All........scared shitless,in fact! Because looking at the Middle East, intermingling religion & government is SUCH a good idea.....

I hate the idea of living in a country where insanity is required by law. All I can do is oppose it every step of the way.

The christians I know would love to make the US a Christian state.

There's no doubt that some Christians are Dominionists and have a wet dream of a theocracy with a legal system based on the Old Testament. And they have a surprising / outsize influence on public policy. We dismiss them at our peril. Just "The Family" alone has its tentacles all over the world.

However ... it is only "some" Christians. Not "Christians" -- to be entirely accurate.
