My friends uncle died...thought she was intelligent...turns out she was religious and thought god was better than doctors at telling her, her uncle was dying of cancer ...told her prayers don't work and it would be mostly doctors and surgeons that told her the truth...he died ...tried to tell her it was nothing to do with god ....but the rapid decline due to his cancer....not spoken to me since...is it because I don't believe in god or her disbelief in what I told her that we are apparently no longer friends....curious...

You'd have to ask her. If she won't say, then her terror of even discussing it tells you everything you need to know.

Also ... given that she believes in prayer / an interventionist god, then popping that bubble is threatening something she feels she needs to approach life with hope and confidence. They base everything on religious faith, which is incredibly fragile. Also, doubt is the greatest of sins. You have made yourself an agent of Satan in her life.

She may simply be embarrissed that you were right. This may be causing her even more truama than her uncle passing. It may be a real slap in the face with reality. If she has to talk to you she may have to face the fact thwt her god did nothing as you said. This could be very difficult as she may be facing the fact that her belief systems are all wrong and she may notnlive forever. Just a guess.

Probably best to ask her that!
