How many losses will persuade liberals that going high when the GOP goes low is not a winning strategy?

I’m sure Pelosi knows that to win, she has to play tit-for-tat until the GOP agree to rules that make going low unnecessary.

I agree and the opponents will make use of this to a high degree. Pretty soon even they will believe the lies and faked videos.

Deepfake. It is even better now. So now there are programs that are able to detect deepfake. Just like we have to use Snopes for the printed word, soon we’ll have to use these new apps to determine if a video is deepfake.

I saw this same sort of digital trickery being demonstrated on the BBC programme "Click".
The latest development is producing a Hollywood drama, starring James Dean, in a completely realistic, brand new movie.

Brilliant post, it had me convinced for quite a while.

@FrayedBear Watching it a second time, now I know the voice does sound just a little off, but not the first time round.

@Fernapple I recently read that Canadian scientists can now exactly replicate a voice after having only fed two or three spoken words into the program.

@Fernapple That was an early demo. Now the emulated voice and movements are indistinguishable from the real person.
