Saw an odd ad for a tee-shirt yesterday, something my brother (Trumper) shared. The tee shirt said: Pro God, Pro Life, Pro Guns.
How can you be Pro Life and Pro God.....and PRO GUN??
Not a Christian any more, but I can’t imagine Jesus and his disciples with guns. Is the Bible, Pro Guns??

Ha! Didn’t Jesus tell his disciples to arm themselves with swords that night in the Garden of Gethsemane?
If you are going to get all biblical in support of your politics, tell the whole story. How about not judging lest ye be judged.

NO he told them not to use their swords hence the paraphrase
"Put up your sword for he who lives by the sword dies by the sword"
The only reason they have swords is explained in Luke 22 (and only in Luke) he says they should buy swords to fulfill a prophecy about his betrayal, but when Peter tells him he has two swords, Jesus says that it is enough for the purposes of prophecy so then in Matthew 26 when Peter draws the sword he is told
Matthew 26:52
52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
"If you are going to get all biblical in support of your politics, tell the whole story. "
@LenHazell53 Thanks for the info. Obviously you know the bible a lot better than I.
Taking conscious actions so that prophecy will be fulfilled seems like pure fraud to me. It must not have seemed that way to the apostles though or they wouldn’t have written about it.
