What a difference between comments left here on the Agnostic site and comments left on FB or The YouTube News sites...all the comments here are in support and 99% of the comments off of this site are basically AGAINST all the accusers...they are all being labeled "Golddiggers" and "Opportunists"... Kind of shows the stark difference between the Non-Believers and the Believers...pretty frikin sad.

About time.
Let's hope it sends the correct message to the people in power.

"rape in the third degree" = up to FOUR years in prison? FOUR???!!!
What the FUCK?
Rape is rape, how the hell can you have degrees of rape?
Either he raped her or he didn't and in this case he obviously did.
Apparently he could get as little as 5 years on the other other count, so if the judge goes light on him he could be out in three years.
This is stupid, the bastard is an obvious danger, lock him up and throw away the key!

American Justice y'all

Is there extra-slippery soap he could drop? I will send him a case!

I appreciate your anger, however, getting two convictions in a case like this is actually pretty significant.

Although, as of this morning, Weinstein is in the hospital complaining of chest pains.
While prison would be the ideal place for him to spend the rest of his miserable life, if he drops dead now, he won't be able to appeal his convictions.
It'll save the taxpayers money.

Should have been all 5.

I wonder if trump will consider pardoning him.

Wouldn't matter if he did. Weinstein was convicted on STATE charges, not Federal.
45 can only issue pardons for Federal convictions, or commute Federal sentences.

@KKGator RIGHT!! I forgot that - you just made my day.🙂

@silverotter11 Always happy to help where I can. 😉

What a great victory, and a hard fought one at that!!

About time then California

I hope he loses any appeals his defense team files in New York, but there are
a couple of issues he might actually have a leg to stand on.
One is a juror that the defense objected to, but was allowed to serve.
She's writing a book about the sexual power dynamics between older men and younger women.
I forget what the other one is.

@KKGator looking at 25 years on this conviction then California , he won't leave except in a box

1

Woohoo! 5-10 years?

Sentencing doesn't take place until March 11th.
He could conceivably spend upwards of 25 years in prison, IF the judge
makes the sentences for each crime run consecutively.

@KKGator March 11 isn't too far off.. I can wait...

Want to start a pool to see how long before tRump tweets about how "outrageous" these charges are, etc etc and has his fat lap dog (Barr) stick his nose into the sentencing outcome? In any case - I can smell the pardon from here. 😟 ugghhhhh

Trump can't pardon in this case.. It's not federal...

Not to mention, he's facing charges in Los Angeles.
In all likelihood, Harvey's gonna die in prison.
To which I say, GOOD!

@Cutiebeauty You're absolutely right - I forgot this was not federal. I saw this morning that he was taken to the hospital with chest pains..... 😉

@Lavergne hopefully he's okay.. I'd rather he spend 29 years in prison...

@Cutiebeauty I'd rather he just dies and saves the taxpayers money.
The world would be better off if he just ceased to exist.

1

Yay!!!

... and more charges to come from elsewhere.

Yes. He's facing more charges in Los Angeles.

2

That is good news. Based on the evidence that came out, it indicted guilt on his part.
