WE DON'T LIVE IN DENMARK

Bernie has been continuously saying that America should have social programs and socialism like in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

American people interviewed by CNN today, Feb 25, 2020 said.... "The striking issue is health care," said Rep. Peters of California. "Now comes Bernie Sanders, [saying] we're going to take away health care from 140 million people, and we're going to substitute it with some untested, unknown plan. He's talking about Denmark. We don't live in Denmark." [cnn.com]

HOW THE U.S. IS NOT LIKE DENMARK, SWEDEN AND NORWAY

  1. Our society in the U.S. is different from those societies
  2. America is religious, they are not
  3. We are still a very conservative society, they are progressive
  4. We have a grip of capitalists on every segment of the society (charity, health care, defense, investments, legislatures, federal programs, think tanks, individual politicians, political campaign finance). We know Citizens vs. United.
  5. We are not homogeneous population compared to those societies. We have all ethnicities, cultures from all around the world
  6. Socialism is a bad word in the United States, it is not in those countries
  7. Capitalism in the U.S. will dismantle any attempt to do further social programs, SS, Medicare are under assault already. Bernie will be deep fried by that lobby even before the election date
  8. Bernie does not have the charisma and strength of leadership to cause the change. Bernie has already polarized the Democratic Party and made Trump's election easy in 2020
  9. The U.S. is a large country and very diverse. Those countries are very small and can afford to do social experiments
  10. Denmark is not good as Bernie wants us to believe
