Since I'm retired, I can take advantage of some of the perks of social distancing. For example, I can see a movie at a theatre in the middle of the day in the middle of the week and be just about the only person in the theatre. I could pay to stream the same movie at home, but I like movie popcorn and a big screen.

One of the things Kate and I did on our first date was go to see "A Fish called Wanda". I got the big container of popcorn and was amazed that I could not keep up with her. This is the first time I did not have to pay attention to how fast the popcorn was going on a date.

So glad I hike on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Uncrowded trails are blissful.

On weekends, it's a zoo with crowds of people from Seattle.

I am afraid of spending too much time at home alone. I would go to the movie alone as a means of getting out.

I enjoyed many of the same perks when i worked 2nd shift and my days off were Tuesday and Wednesday. Crowds were way less, retirement is similar except every day is a weekend off. 🙂

As a retired person, I try to avoid shopping & etc at the busiest times...I remember what a hassle it was trying to get things done when "everybody else" was trying the same thing
