Dont worry about the virus anymore! : the catholic church says that they will develop a corona virus effective prayer in about a month. I had to read the news myself. Amazing how naive some people can be.

In the meantime, Catholic Churches have thrown the holy water out due to the fear. [friendlyatheist.patheos.com]

That’s the best one yet. I didn’t know prayer was a technology.

Do you have a reference?

I bet it involves the collection of tax-free money from parishioners, and a few words of Latin thrown in for good measure.

It is in Spanish from El Mundo Today: [elmundotoday.com]

They say that for the moment, they will commend themselves to God and the virgin Mary until they find the right prayer. 😄

@Lacucaracha Of course! Why didn’t any of us think of that?

People of severely limited intellect will believe anything that they are told. I was also like that as a child.

How does one "develop" a prayer to the Christian god? I understand the need to develop vaccines, or effective drugs, because there's a lot of trial and error there. I could even understand some need for development if one was creating a magic spell - maybe certain words work and others don't.

But isn't the Christian god supposed to know exactly what is needed? So what is there to develop?

You are “lacking” in faith 😄: God is conveniently mysterious in this areas of expertise.

As my daughter says: people be crazy.
Panic is more dangerous than disease. So is stupidity.

Invent and patent a cure for stupidity, and you will make yourself a very large fortune!
