It is already in experimental use. Sure, I'd try it, if I thought I might otherwise die.
The name of that company troubles me. Gilead.

I'm glad they are making a drug that has promise. Would you refuse treatment because of the name?
@itsmedammit no, of course not! But I'm always curious about the way people choose names for things. I couldn't help notice the biblical connection. Or possibly the Margaret Attwood connection.

"Gilead Sciences was originally named Oligogen when it was formed in 1987. However, its name was soon changed to Gilead Sciences, which does roll off the tongue much more easily than Oligogen. The name was inspired by the balm of Gilead, an ancient medicine referenced several times in the Bible."
Guess they didn't think OLigogen would fly.
