The one sanitizer that is the go to can not even be found on Amazon. Alcohol 70%.

Great post by the way. FACT based!

You can make your own, if you can find the ingredients.
Two parts rubbing alcohol, one part aloe vera gel.

@KKGator @silverotter11

Compulsory ingredients for Hand Sanitiser.
Ethyl Alcohol 100 ml (diluted to 75%)
Or buy 70% alcohol. (ethyl or isopropyl)
Hydrogen Peroxide (10 volume strength = 3%) 8 ml
Glycerine. (or hand moisturizer) 2 ml.

Semi optional ingredient
Cellulose wallpaper glue powder. (add just enough to create a gel.) or similar.

Optional additives.
Smelly
Colour.

Note: Alcohol below 60% will not kill this virus. Alcohol above 85% causes the virus to disappear behind a protective outer shell, which a day later dissolves, allowing the virus to infect it's host.
Hydrogen Peroxide is usually available from hairdressers.
Wood alcohol (Methylated spirit) is NOT effective against the Corona virus. It must be Ethyl alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol.

@Petter Thank you!

Our gym has been using a sanitizer with 76% alcohol. They also require members use hand towels and spray them with a diluted bleach solution.

@KKGator I WAS making my own, now I cannot find alcohol here in Ellensburg. I have one 32oz. bottle left. I usally keep 2 on hand. Never thought the hoarders in this town would buy it all up.

@silverotter11 I generally don't use hand sanitizer, the alcohol content is too much for my skin.
I've always been pretty compulsive about washing my hands anyway.
Although, I do have plenty of alcohol and aloe gel on hand, just in case.

@KKGator, @Petter I have glycerine and H2O2 and 1 32oz. bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol. Visited 5 stores in 2 days and no one has any of either types of alcohol. I went on line to see if Amazon had any - nope. This is a serious issue.

@KKGator When I'm out shopping is when I keep hand sanitizer, otherwize like you I wash. The sanitizer is really for summer use, the irrigation water is not for drinking so after working at the garden plot I use it to clean my hands before getting in the car or riding my bike home. A woman accidently drank from the wrong line (there is a city water line with a frost free handle and an irrigation line with a different frostfree, she confused them) and got ecoli 😟. But now we have the COVID-19 issue, there are 3 confirmed cases in my county (the population is 45,000 for the whole county). Last week I could easily tell the trump supporters, they totally were down playing the whole thing and spouting the fox talking points.The clubhouse is now closed totally so I have not seen any of them.

@silverotter11 School has been cancelled for the next two weeks here. I won't be going anywhere for the foreseeable future.
I'm on kid duty.
They're going to be putting lessons online early next week.
I get to do the home-schooling thing. 😀

@KKGator My pleasure.

@KKGator, @JackPedigo Which bleach? Hydrogen Peroxide bleach is more effective in this case than Chlorine bleach.

@KKGator, @JackPedigo, @silverotter11 Full strength moonshine, anyone? There's a market opportunity opening up for illegal stills, just as there was in the speakeasy days!!

@Petter I didn't say anything about bleach. 🙂

@Petter Kittitas County has a long history of moonshine making.

@KKGator I hit reply to Jack Pedigo's comment and the computer copied you in for reasons unknown.

@KKGator, @silverotter11 Great. Take a trip and then flog your product on e-bay.

The reason for the unprepared health infrastructure, the limited number of doctors, nurses and place is in the US is because
(wait for it)
The Trump administration fired the U.S. pandemic response team in 2018 to cut costs.

As was remarked elsewhere, trying to stop the Coronavirus by such measures is like trying to store soup in a collander.
BUT, if the holes in the collander are made very small, then the soup will run out more slowly.

That's the "plan".

Yeah...but that's not what this pathetic nation is going to do. We prefer panic.

Fine and dandy and shit, but what if we know of people who need to die <cough>Republican leadership<cough>?
