I grew up on stories of how my aunt, age 18, nursed an entire 6th-floor walkup, over 30 people, who all had the 1918 Spanish Influeza, so ill they could not get themselves water or clean bedding. So i am prepared to expect the worst, and have reviewed my options. I heat with propane, i never see the delivery guy. I have a +/- 10,000 gallon aboveground pool out back, and old towels to strain the water, and bleach (6-8 drops per gallon, stir, let sit 20 minutes) to give me all the water i need. I have a CPAP to assist with breathing if needed. I have plenty of food, plus an extra 65 lbs. on me.
If services, like garbage pickup, should cease, i have a spot about 300' from my houseor anybody else's, to dispose of it.
Not going Anywhere for probably 3 weeks, but that is up for review.
Luckily, many here are self-sufficient. We (a group of us) just had a blackout weekend without power. I have a propane stove so heat is iffy but doable. There is a gravity septic, we take our own trash to the local transfer station and well/rain harvesting combo but electrical power is needed. Everything else is not critical.

I have a well and a backup generator which my husband fixed up. Unfortunately it hasnt been started for 3 years so i need to get that taken care of today.
My freezer is full of veggies and protein but only about enough for 2 weeks. Dog food delivered automatically from Amazon and hoping they will still deliver other items when needed. I can always burn trash if needed unless the National Guard doesnt like it. I'm sure my local fire department buddies will give me a go ahead.
