It’s easy to see the obstinacy, close-mindedness, dogmatism and prejudice in other people.

Not so easy to see are the very same attributes within ourselves.

No one can change another person, but through respectful conversations each person might change his own personal perspective to a degree.

There is no absolute truth.

I must disagree, because I was once fundamentalist, dogmatic, etc.

I am forever grateful to those who questioned me, argued with me, and even (gently) mocked me.

Lucky for you that you were not "obstinately closed-minded, dogmatic or prejudiced." Otherwise, you may have gone to church today.

A good dose of history and ancient religions generally shuts them up for some time!.when they see the roots of their current beliefs it gives some pause....some ...close their minds.
