Not being a Lawyer makes it difficult to wrap my head around ALL the Statutes but I see two one that might be applicable and that is the Statute that allows the Navy to control the Ports in the event of a Biological Event but even that would be a stretch as we just order the Ports of Entry CLOSED. No country would be so stupid as to attempt to violate the order. There is no insurrection that Trump can use as an excuse to take control beyond his present authority but let's not put it past him to try to leverage this into some form of Dictatorship. Congress is the controlling factor in this crisis and they need to ensure they maintain the upper hand or this could get real ugly real fast.
Don't put anything past this Administration when it comes to dominating the Political Arena and keep in mind the Republican Base is just itching for an armed showdown with anyone who opposes "their" Conservative Right Wing view of Government. This situation is going to escalate very fast if we are not prepared for the ultimate Power Play by this Administration. All that has to happen for this to be "The Perfect Storm" is for The Supreme Court Justices to be victims of this Virus and The Senate will jump all over the Vetting process and install a Majority of Puppets on the Bench...forwarned is forarmed...JMHO...thoughts my brothers and sisters?
