So my important ones will definitely take long enough that by the time they're cracked either I'll be dead or I'll have changed them along with my name to disguise my immortality lol. The less important ones don't particularly matter if they're compromised and I have a year to find out before it's used. Would probably be even more secure if I used typos like "aplhabets" though lol.

Of course I'm not going to be more specific about exactly what duration my strong passwords would take according to this chart because it's based on brute force. This kind of post could easily be used by a black hat lurker for a bit of a social engineering hack. If you see this on Facebook I bet you'll see an awful lot of people replying with the exact time it would take to hack their passwords by brute force and therefore exposing the exact length and composition of their passwords.

In my case, between 6k years and 193tn years.

While I am on this subject, I have issues with web sites that restrict passwords to no more than 12 characters and no special characters.

I'd ignore such sites like that and not open an account with them.

@SpikeTalon Unfortunately, the Australian Taxation Office is one of them! Grrr! 😟
