Rand Paul's irresponsibility has provided a method for dissenting Republicans to the stimulus to not have to vote on it. They can claim thet were self-quaratining because of expsure to Rand Paul. Senator Lee (a Libertarian - Conservative -,Arizona) is taking this route.
Rand Paul may have just sunk the entire stimulus package for all peoples of this country. Lee stated he would not be voting at anytime in the next 14 days.

Hopefully the House Dems will take a far more progressive approach and with senators like Rand and Lee out of the way, hammer out and pass something substantial for workers and the poor.

I agree. The problem comes with voting. Right now all must be present in chambers at the time of the vote.
@t1nick True. But votes can be taken with just those present. It happens all the time. Of course if McConnell doesn’t have the votes he needs he can put off the vote. And he’ll make some excuse that either blames Democrats it invokes the pandemic. He has no scruples, no shame, and doesn’t care about the people, only his corporate sponsors.
