Prosit! I survived 50 hours of babysitting this week. Only with the promise of wine, of course. I admire all of you people doing this all the time.
I bought a box of wine this time - live the dream! I had such a hard time opening the carboard cutout to pill out the spout. I can see myself too handicapped to open wine in boxes! Of course, right now it is a money thing. I passed a beautiful bottle of Dr. Konstantin Frank Riesling, costing as much as the 3-liter hardboard box wine. Oh, well, maybe after the Covid check!
I really have not yet freaked out about the virus thing, but today I wiped down doorknobs and the computer mouse with hydrogen peroxide, In public, I manage everybody with a stern look and my cane.
Our very rural county has 8 cases of infection so far. I hope you are all staying safe.
50 hours? That's close to 49 more than I could do. You definetly deserve the better wine, but times like these sometimes ya gotta choose buzz over taste.
Stay safe.
Thanks, I always chose buzz over taste. Wouldn't drink wine if I had weed. maybe next year!
@Spinliesel here's hoping for next year!
@1of5
As soon as this crisis is manageable, I will have to remind the governor of his promise to work on legalization here in New York. In the meantime, I shall count on my ungrateful grandsons.
@Spinliesel good bet they'll need the additional tax revenue after this. Frame it in dollars and you can't go wrong when dealing with a politician.
Ungrateful? Tell them there's a "grams for granny" clause in your will that affects the % of your estate they get based upon how much weed they each procure for you.
@1of5 You are so right, my friend, not about my will of course, but about NY's economical near future. My grandsons should be bringing my stuff without any coaxing from me. But they are young and selfish and most of their brainpower is used up by sex, cars, and mushrooms.
@Spinliesel having been a young male once myself I can tell you it's fairly remarkable they remember you exist at all.
Extortions the key. Remember, old age and treachery can always overcome youth and skill.
Weeds been legal here for a few years now and man is it ever nice. Hope N.Y. does it soon and right, and hopefully the feds will pull thier heads out of thier asses and get on board too.
