tRump is considering that quarantine as a favor to his pal Gov. Ron Desantis. Desantis allowed vacationers to leave his state, spreading the virus all over the country.

So Shitler fucked up, Desantis fucked up, and Shitler wants to punish us in the northeast to cover his fuckups.

HE is considering short term quarantine??? He cannot over ride what the governors dictate. Imagine him telling Inslee he can't decide for this state?? Besides, most of us are not idiots and won't do as HE prescribes. Talk about being full of himself. HE is is full but of something else!!!!

@JackPedigo BitFlipper sees thru the show. Now this morning he has backed off that statement. Sadly all the media outlets are doing EXactly what they did in 2016. Putting him all over the news cycle, endlessly.

To answer your question about hotels: what is normal procedure for people stranded due to a disaster? People stranded on a cruise ship? People stranded somewhere because of weather or war?

tTump and Desantis both fucked up royally. And they will never take any action that might hint of responsibility. For them,, everything is the responsibility of the individuals dangling at the ends of their puppet strings.

The big problem with your argument is that they were not stranded. They obviously could travel, and did. Desantis could not stop them from traveling from where ever they came from to vacation in FL., or travel back home, so how is he responsible for that? But I guess that kind of logic doesn't matter to you either..

Direction for this pandmic should have come from the top, no one taking responsibility, by now it is clear if you trash trump you will be toast. That is the biggest problem. 1/20/2020 it the day it began in WA State, no checking of people returning from China at Sea Tac airport - LA and some others but Seatlle was not on the list and THAT was my 1st question. The original post is about tracking the spread. Well damn when Ted Budy was kidnapping and killing young girls in the Seattle area the cops KNEW it was him (I know becaues I dated a cop on that task force) but they had no proof. It was said by these office when Bundy packed up and left the state - Just wait for the
girls to disappear and bodies start showing up and you'll know where he is. That was how they tracked him back in the 70's.
We are not testing and so therefore can not track until well after the fact. This of course is an invasion of privacy but the NY governor could not force people to stay home. Americans can not be forced to do much of anything or it violates their rights.
It's cluster fuck on a massive scale and just the sort of crisis big coporate and the rest will take advanage of. The point of my 500 billion comment. One small event can no longer be separated as a stand alone cause or area to blame.
We had a small window on 1/20/2020;is governor Inslee to blame? NO the elected officials that counciled him about not shutting down the area prevailed and not until it was clear community spread was rapidly occuring and the area hospitals would be unable to handle a massive crush of ill people
did he succeed in shutting down - we are shut down - we are not locked down so the wealthy get on the freeway and head to smaller out lying areas and strip our super market shelves bare. And what do I hear from the ones who on 2/29 said Inslee better not shut us down ? On 3/16 when he shut us down they said, should of done it sooner. Sorry for the rant but the little picture here in WA is the big picture nation wide and the models we were shown in China and South Korea were completely ignored. Money and power again drives this train. There is a tracking service but it just might infringe our rights, yeah, the Patriot Act been infringing but no one is

@silverotter11 This mornings paper had an article on how idiot stick-in-chief was upset at Inslee's comments and told Pence not to talk to him. He feels he is not appreciated (he is not). He is also taking revenge out on Michigan. People's lives are being lost due to childish behavior. As we have seen there is no top (only the bottom of the barrel). The biggest reason this situation is sooo bad is because we do not have a real leader and he does not understand what his job is. The governor had the right and responsibility to make his state safe. If the Feds can shut down foreign travel so can the local governors shut down some areas in their state. Now it is said people are not allowed to traveling from off-island to the islands. I don't know how it works but there will be some checking at the ferry terminals. Maybe now some liberals will understand why so many want our immigration levels lowered. We have only so many resources and people coming in from outside (even citizens) can and do create stresses on local resources. This is not an isolated situation but is happening globally.

However, I do much of my shopping at TJ's, the food Coop's in Bellingham and Mt. Vernon and, of course Fred Meyers. They have GF foods and more plant based items (milk) then we have. If I leave the island to do my usual shopping and only get the usual am I being hypocritical. For Bellingham a large number of people come from over the Canadian Border. That will slow to a trickle so maybe the stores need more customers. Again another complicated situation.
