I was taught that God is eternal, that he created the solar system, stars, and life on earth. What ive since realized is that the same things can be said for the Universe.

Are you not, therefore, a theist? A belief in the sky god takes you out of the agnostic and atheist rhelms. I have been called a spiritual person by many, but it is the human spirit that takes the place of a fictional being. When I discovered atheism 20 years ago, it was enlighting for me. I then understood why I had so much trouble in religious school and why becoming a Cantor was oout of the question.
