My friend gave me an acoustic guitar. It's hard for me to play it for long periods of time. The strings are too thick and the action is too high; it hurts my fingers lol. I'm used to my electric guitar with much thinner strings. Still love this one though! It was also so out of tune, I tuned it 🙂

I have fond memories of mom playing the guitar. Now she's taking ukelele lessons.

I wasn't aware that you played. Nice gift. Is it (and you) left-handed, or is the photo just flipped?

@VeronikaAnnJ I wish I had an electric. Maybe if I can get a stimulus check.... 😛

@VeronikaAnnJ Yeah, an acoustic. And why not spend it on a guitar? I'l buy American, I promise! 😛 I want a new monitor, but I doubt any are made in America.

@VeronikaAnnJ I'm isolated and alone. It's essential for my mental well-being. 😛

@VeronikaAnnJ Since I was 15, so 38 years. I just dabble. I don't play much these days. I'm right-handed, so arthritis in my left thumb (probably rheumatoid arthritis) makes playing an acoustic difficult. I actually do have a cobbled-together p.o.s. electric, but no amp.

Also, I have nobody to play with, or even around, so it kind of kills my motivation.

@VeronikaAnnJ And I'm still not good at it! lol
