Read about this and am surprised why people and scientists didn't really think this thru. We have had several posts here for people to make their own masks. Perhaps it could be a business niche.

As I’m self isolating at home I have no need of a mask. Those who are still going to work...essential occupations, and those going out to buy food, should use some sort of mask or improvised nose or mouth covering. There is a universal shortage, and until all medical staff and other healthcare workers have a sufficient supply, they will remain almost impossible to obtain. I expect the production of them is being increased, so they will be available for all some time soon, hopefully.

I had some surgical masks tucked away long before the Covid-19 pandemic, mostly to keep from inhaling dust particles whenever I cleaned something while at home, and now wear a mask when I go out for grocery shopping. I simply do not care what others may think about me when they see me wearing a mask in public.
