Had to travel across the mountains yesterday (medical necessity so calm the fuck down) and decided to take highway 2 back instead of I-90. This took us through the normally busy tourist town of Leavenworth [leavenworth.org] , which was eerily deserted. Was weird to see, as were the led info signs that normally give weather/traffic/pass conditions all saying:
STAY HOME
SAVE LIVES
LIMIT TRAVEL

1st trip over and back where we didn’t have to worry about traffic, so that was cool. But damn, was it ever weird to go across a pass and, literally, see only 20 other vehicles (counting going both ways) from Skykomish to Leavenworth – and one of those was a snow plough.
