Translated in precís form from a Spanish newspaper, printed this morning.

A group of Coronavirus free villages in the Alpujarra mountain range of Almería province have errected barricades on every possible road leading in to their area, except one, which is being guarded like a national frontier.

Think they’ll guard against the eventual vaccine, too … maybe declare themselves a nation while they’re at it! Hey, I’ve a wannabe-president I’d give them, he also thinks walling off humanity is how it’s done 😉

Doubt it. Spain is decidedly pro-vaccine.

That is great. Maybe now that people are limiting immigration from their own citizens we will start to question immigration levels from other countries citizens.

The problem here is that the public transportation system (Ferries) can limit who can and cannot come aboard but people do have private boats and can sneak in anytime.

Mine fields??? 🤣🤣

@Petter Just like in the DMZ with North Korea. I hope not.

So every time I see a car tag from another state when I am in town buying groceries, I check to see their infection rate and wonder if they are trying to run away from the virus.

If we had enough testing capability, creating little islands of health would probably be a good idea.

Spanish cars stopped having state tags 20 years ago. (Spain, like the US, is a federation of states, each with its own parliament and governor.)
Therefore, unless a car is very old there is no way of knowing where it came from.

Do they know how long this may last.

Not really, but I reckon the previously touted date of April 12th is hopelessly optimistic.
