What's the binary representation for "maybe" (true/false)?
Can I recommend ternary representation to you?
@anglophone I used to design relay control circuitry that used ternary logic. I loved it.
Later I played with electronic circuits that used +5V, -5V and 0V to represent the 3 states. However, straightforward +5V or 0V circuitry was far easier to create in electronics.
@Petter -- There are two ways to look at it.
@evidentialist Three with ternary. It's like using two fingers to count, instead of just one.
Basically, "Hell yes!", "Maybe", "No way".
Or in my circuitry, going up, going down, standing still.
In binary one has to specify going up, not going up. AND ALSO moving, not moving to achieve the same logic.
Did you get a second opinion from Heisenberg?
Nice one!
@anglophone -- Yes, I did. After some time thinking on the subject, he said that he was uncertain.
