Neo-liberalism has sucked up a long time, so I feel its shelf life is nearly obsolete. The crux of this article is: "If we can change the basis of our global civilization from one that is wealth-affirming to one that is life-affirming, then we have a chance to create a flourishing future for humanity and the living Earth." Selfish individualism has to give way to sense of community, conscience, and compassion, and that needs to be a global sea change to have a chance at permanence.

Fox News and the obstructionist republican followers think that they will be saved, all the while they right wing leadership is stealing them blind!!!

By the time they wake up it will be too late for them and their grandchildren!!!

It could go either way. Only time will tell.

Probably not a lot, I hate to pour cold water on nice theories. But. People have a great capacity for forgetting things quickly and reverting to their old ruts. It is like all the people who come out of hospital after serious illness, swearing that it was life changing, and that from now on they are going to live everyday as if it were their last. Only they don't, its just too hard, before very long 999% of them are back in their old ways just as they always were. And people also have short memories within two weeks of the end of the pandemic, it will be all but forgotten.
