In the UK, a woman supporting the opposition party to Boris Johnson's government commented on Facebook that he deserved to be in intensive care with COVID-19 (she hates him and that's for sure). As a result, she was kicked out of her party and she has now been fired by a law firm, her employer. Her free speech cost her both her membership and her job.
Free speech comes with responsibility and consequence. Agree or disagree?

Consequences of free speech: FREEDOM, science, democracy, opposition to fascism.
The current "left" in the UK and the US are completely without any sense of their ability to spew their crap without being canceled by the "right." But, they are engaged in denying freedom for anyone who disagrees.
These people live at the left-pole from which all directions are alt-white.

@Jetty Yes . But no. Born to idiots, raised in poverty, and violence,... how does a child become more than that? Not easy. For most, never.
We are what we experienced, and what we were "taught." This is the point of judicial discretion.
Just like peoples in countries who have no history of personal property right cannot agree to common laws, children from places that had only the reality of beatings, do not have a basis upon which to base any understanding of right and wrong according to the predominant culture.
