Total known Covid-19 infections world-wide now exceed 2.5 million. The US accounts for almost one third of this total.
However, it "only" accounts for a quarter of the world total deaths.

Interesting statistics but not meaningful unless you consider population size. The US has 2428 cases per million while Spain has 4367. The US has suffered 132 deaths per million while for Spain it is 455.

132 per million is a hundredth of a percent, not enough to get me excited, fearful or ashamed of my country.

They tested more I bet, we still don't

I'm not shaming the nation, simply pointing to how serious it is for the US, which has become the new epicentre.

@bobwjr Tests per million, US 12,378; Spain 19896, so yes, Spain is doing better in that regard. For the U.K. it’s 7886.

@OwlInASack Wow, 5%. My county is as large as Jersey and we only have 4 cases and no deaths. Of course you have multiples more population and more mobility.

Take every precaution and try to stay safe.
