The parent name of Gilead would creep me out if Remdesivir becomes the new drug hyped by Trump, because that means he's got a financial or political interest in plugging the drug. (Luckily he probably wouldn't be able to pronounce it!)

I hope it is something truly being developed for humanitarian health purposes, not for darker reasons. I have no reason to think that, so the company name is unfortunate, and of course I hope it works and that nobody I know will be sick enough to have to need it.
