Shit my other son says...

While discussing our plans for the day, I told him it was my sister's and sister-in-law's birthday and how a small group were getting together to celebrate with Mexican food and birthday shenanigans. He asked what kind of shenanigans, and my response was that alcohol would likely be involved. He is 22 and I thought he might be working an invite, so I opened the door for him to come with me. He asked if we were going to their house or a restaurant. I informed him that it is outside at their house with take out food, that we were not inviting the high risk older adults in the family, that the number of people would be under 10 and that we would be social distancing. He then said he didn't want to go, he "just wanted to know how much he should be silently judging us."

Chump.

Nothing like being held to account by the very people that you taught to hold their actions to account!

Circle of life. Very true.

Hah, good parenting, and it shows.

You're far more confident in that statement than I, but thank you, I do try.

I hope you had a great distancing party.

It was lovely, thank you.
