The reaon according to the bible for evil and suffering is that god created it. As a fundamentalist my church accepted this and justified it by saying that God gives us trials and tribulations for our benifit. Yeah 2 month old babies get cancer and die so god can help other people according to the theology I was taught. Also, I was taught that it was actually good and that we were simply too feeble minded to understand.

Hurting people is wrong and immoral. God is no exception to the problem of evil.
