Yes - sad to say a lot of older people who are not tech savvy do get sucked in. Can't tell you how many phone calls I've gotten from the "IRS". All scams. And the really sad part is that each year that goes by, they get slicker, better at it....people need to pay very, very close attention.

There is a big error in the web address httos. People really need to start paying more attention.

I love spotting all the grammatical errors that are always the tip off that these are scams.

Yup. No doubt our older people … if trying to stay up-to-day by using ‘online banking’ perhaps..

There's a sucker born every minute. Otherwise the snake-oil-salesman-in-chief wouldn't be the president and women wouldn't be giving money to men just because they asked for it time and time again

Sadly yes, and even more sadly, it tends to be the frail, sick, elderly and those with learning difficulties who fall most often. It is a truly inhuman crime, because there is no way that the fraudsters do not know full well who they are stealing from.

And they must get away with even more obvious tricks. I often get demands for bill payments and bank details, from people who give the name 'service provider' as the organization they represent.

Unfortunately
