About the film:
'Hyde Park on Hudson' highlights a momentous occasion in U.S. history - the first time a British monarch had set foot on American soil. In 1939, King George VI visits FDR at his home in New York. War looms over the horizon, and England needs the help of the US and their President. Bill Murray, Laura Linney, Olivia Colman, and Samuel West star in this film about one of the most momentous meetings in history.

They don't tell you what the film is. If course it's free everything on Facebook Watch is free.

@Allamanda That sounds great. I'll cast that and watch. FDR had reelection coming up and America First GOP, some of whom were pro Hitler. Trump would've been one of those, as Fred Trump was.

@barjoe Trump is one of those

@barjoe Hitler took the Romani Gypsies and separated the Children from their mothers. Doesn't that sound familiar. Trump just pushes things out like separating Children from their mothers to see what the reaction is. And his BASE had no problem with it. This is how fascism starts. It gets more and more brutal until the unthinkable is accepted. People don't even talk about what Trump did to those children. He's a sociopath. Trump has scarred those children for life with what he did. He's a monster

@Allamanda So what's with this discussion group about social isolation. This is as annoying as the Begathon infomercials they have in PBS. I stopped donating to public television for that reason. This is profoundly annoying. I will stream Hyde Park on Hudson somewhere else AARP? No thanks.

@Allamanda When I clicked on FB link I got an AARP discussion group for 1/2 hour then quit. Maybe I did something wrong. I did stream the film on different platform. It was very good about FDR and Daisy Margaret Stuckley. The romance with his 6th cousin. Bill Murray was great.
