Single for many years, just starting a relationship. I feel like a teenager, which is great because when I was a teenager I didn't feel like one.

I voted "happily married" because a) we've just celebrated our 40th (ruby) anniversary, and b) recently acquired our first grandchild. It hasn't been all smooth sailing, though...

Congratulations We'll celebrate our 46th this summer! We have 8 grandchildren right now,

Do cats count? If so, I have two.

Again, since this is a hypothetical virtual world then I can describe what I want exactly the way I want it...... Here it goes.... I would love to find someone who would like the same simple things I want, watch TV together, cuddling at the living room listening to nice music, get crazy and loud with awesome music when the mood is right, go over chores every day together while having fun being silly, respect each other privacy when its time for things like reading a good book, walk around the block holding hands for absolutely no reason at all, have a dog that will love us both unconditionally......I could go on. My life as a married man for a span of twenty something years never offered any of those things. That's my side of the story as she has hers because sure enough, I fell short in so many things too...... anyhow, it really helps to throw it all out there to whoever is willing to listen...

Don't sell yourself short....there are a lot of women who would love to have the type of partner/relationship you just described. There is a certain amount of truth to the theory that opposites attract because that is when most of the "sparks" fly - unfortunately, those very same attributes can frequently make for contentious relationships. Keep all your options (and mind) open and you might meet some interesting women when you least expect it... 😉

@Lavergne thanks for your comment... I am not selling myself short. I am passed my prime time and now facing decline at 54. Still strong, exercise every day and yet, I am starting to feel what's in store and I would like to enjoy the last mile of my ride with the right person. That's all.... Thanks again

Honestly, 54 is nowhere near past your prime.....I went on a dating site some years back and what I found was that men in their 50's were not having any problems attracting 35+ yr old women. She's out there....patience, grasshoppa 😉 😉

@Lavergne Ha ha ha... grasshoppa... that's cool !!!!..... Well, I am just out the door to go out and watch the game. I hear you, every time could be the day.....
