I am Retired... stress is just a 6 letter word without implication in my current status of lifehood.

Plug in one of my guitars and play .

...just don't get on your knees and pray ... (you don't get fooled again) 😉

Read a fantasy novel. It’s a vacation! I also smoke pot sometimes, nothing beats a “mellow”

Cook my dinner..

What is your specialty in the kitchen?

@JayJackson food of course..I worked in kitchens professionally for 16 years..

@Charlene I understand "food". Maybe I should have been more specific. What dish or dishes are your specialty?

@JayJackson depends on the season...in summer i like chilled soups and homemade pickled herring fall/winter stews and meats, spring a combo of different foods..

I love to relax while reading a good book. Have been a voracious reader my entire life.

When she was eight, my daughter gave me a leather book weight. It holds a book open on a table. Love it! She noticed my bad habit of reading while I eat.

"Is that a weapon?" men ask. Women never ask that question.

Thank you for sharing, ma'am. What good read are you on?

JayJackson, At the moment, I can't put down "Addicted to Danger" by Jim Wickwire.

Among the world's most fearless climbers, Jim Wickwire has traveled the globe in search of fresh challenges. A successful Seattle attorney, Wickwire was one of the first two Americans to reach the summit of K2, the world's second highest peak, considered the toughest and most dangerous to climb.

With his triumphs came tragedies that haunt him still. During several difficult climbs, he was forced to look on helplessly as four of his climbing companions lost their lives.

Although I scramble up rocks for the last steep pitch, I'm not a technical rock climber. "I'm not willing to hang my life off a piton I just tapped into a crack," I tell people.

It's easy to climb uphill. "How do I get down?" I think, sitting on the edge of a cliff. The answer: slowly and carefully.

Photos: Mt. Rainier (14,127'😉 is behind me. I left my ice axe in the car trunk. Oops. That was my brake. Climbing Mt. Fremont, we hiked four, steep, knife-edge snowy trails. "I'm not having fun," I said mildly. But I made it. It is always easier on the return.

MrLizard, the best recipes are always stained with food splashes.

For me, lately it’s been coming home to watch Hulu. I’m a big fan of animation so binging shows like “Regular Show” or “Steven Universe” really helps me unwind. It’s crazy how I can feel so much for a cartoon character. I find myself in their shoes.

Thank you for sharing, sir!

I go to the gym & do a hard work out. Leave all the stress & anger & aggression on the weight bench & elliptical trainer. Feel gobs better leaving the gym wet with sweat.

Of course a rousing bit of slap & tickle, a "grudge f*ck" in the common vernacular works too....if you happen to have a FWB handy....which I do not (there's an application).

My kind of person!! YOU ROCK!!

@JayJackson thank you. The truth is, when really stressed, I can't take but so much. my sarcasm takes on a level of harsh vindictiveness & I really love my family but they can also pluck my last good nerve & random drug tests are a thing at work & I have a mortgage & alcohol is not good for me & once you say something, you can be forgiven but it won't be forgotten (can't unring a bell)... so gym it is.

@SallyInStitches We may have been seperated at birth.
