We have a plastic Bag TAX in Ireland. This has changed peoples behaviour. Everyone uses the same bags every week they shop now. It's been a huge success
Here in Australia one has to pay for a plastic bag, so most bring their own, however I still see a lot buying bags, mainly young people.
I have shopped with my own bags for a while but now they are verboten with the virus.
Just put them in the washing machine! I always did that with the ones I put fresh meat in anyway......
@MissKathleen I leave them in my car, never have brought them into a store. The cashier puts stuff neatly in the cart, then I stand under my lift gate & pack my bags to my liking.
@MissKathleen Here in Australia they will not pack into your own bags at the moment, so you do it yourself.
@Jolanta I don't think I would want to touch someone's bags either. Our Walmart for awhile went back to giving out. theplastic disposable ones for free instead of .10/each
