I am really confused about this Covid emergency. I guess the level of emergency varies depending on what business you’re in. My husband works in retail and his company thinks it is OK to be open as long as the mall door is closed. I do not understand how this helps. He is still helping more people than ever, and has to tell people to wear masks and to self distance. I do not feel most people are taking this virus seriously and are more worried about the economy than lives. And all these people having parties must really have a screw loose!

Doesn't sound like you're confused at all.

I don't understand what "as long as the mall door is closed" means. If it's a store in a mall, wouldn't that keep them from having any customers? What would be the point of having the store open just for employees?

"I do not feel most people are taking this virus seriously and are more worried about the economy than lives."

Replace "most people" with Donald Trump and his ilk and you are exactly right.
During the the lock down $58 Billion dollars has been funneled out of the economy of the USA and in to the bank accounts of already existing Billionaires.
Now that gravy train has dried up the plebs need to be sent back to work to generate more capital for they the rich to steal, even if the cost can be measured in human lives.
