Be safe and speak up.
But remember, educating people rings more results than trying to show how dumb they are for supporting the government.
Give info and let them conclude by themselves.
But Duterte is really one more of this wanna-bes dictators on the conservative wave same thing as my chief of government and state/local clown in Brazil.

The problem is that if people is not educated they will simply elect another dictator if they have a chance.
This is happening in Brazil, people are seeing that Biru-liru is full of shit, and then changing to another dumb-fucker-wanna-be dictator.
If people don't understand that democracy is more than electing a dictator, the cycle will repeat because this charismatic dictators always tells people that they will personally solve the problem. And people don't understand that what solves the problem are institutions and transparency, that can't be attached to a single name/group.
The institutions must work for the left and for the right, they can't be dismantled to serve someone's purpose even if the purpose is good, because the next guy on the job can be an asshole and then the institutions must be there to stop him/her.
The loyalty must be to democracy and law, and not to a person, otherwise even if voting continues we will start electing a new dictator every election cycle until some of them stop the cycle...
@Boomtarat03 But anyway, speak up but be safe at the same time, live to fight another day!
To be honest about it I can understand your mother's fear from what I understand the Philippines government is not exactly user-friendly
especially those who resort to attacking with the most lethal of weapons words, thoughts and intelligence. Be safe I wish you well in your fight.
