THE NAKED TRUTH

According to a legend from the 19th century, the Truth and the Lie met one day.

The Lie said to the Truth: ′′ It's a beautiful day today "!

Truth looked up to heaven and sighed, for the day was truly beautiful. They spent a lot of time together that day.

Eventually they came to a well. The Lie invited the Truth. ′′ Come, the water is very tasty, let's take a bath together!" The Truth, didn't trust it completely, tested the water and discovered it was indeed very tasty. They took away their clothes and started bathing.

Suddenly the Lie flew out of the water, put on the clothes of the Truth and ran away.

The furious Truth came from the well and ran everywhere to find the Lie to retrieve her clothes.

The people who saw the Truth naked turned their eyes away with shame, disdain and anger.

Poor Truth returned to the well and disappeared forever hiding in it. Shameful for her uncovered nudity.

Since then, the Lie has traveled around the world, dressed up as the Truth. Few notice, because most of us have no desire to meet the naked Truth.

Very Sad...

But if she disappeared into hiding forever, why is she emerging with the whip?

And why wouldn't people want to meet a beautiful naked woman? Wonder what the lie looked like.

Someone made a good Comment in a post to me once: sugar coating leads to truth decay!

Sadly, the photo is a bit fuzzy, which is kind of sad because it is a good example of nineteenth century narrative art.
