Has anyone here ever had a dream that they remember as fondly as something that actually happened? I did, years ago, and it still sticks with me.

It's a simple thing, really. I'm walking along, and on the couch is a cat from my childhood: a beautiful, intelligent white cat I named Chester.

"You came back," I said in the dream.

And that's it. Of all the dreams I've had, I wish this one would come true.

I had a dream featuring a dog - we were playing footbal - like a real official game with uniforms..and I threw the ball to my reciever - a dog that caught it in his mouth and ran for a touchdown.

Dreams with strong emotional and symbolic content (whether positive, as with your dream, or negative) are the easiest to recall. It also helps to awaken at least partially during the dream, as the machinery that lays down long term memory is dormand during sleep.

That's a nice dream to have. I don't know if I've ever had one that I had fond memories in. Mine have always been very vivid, weird dreams. Many of which I don't really care to relive.
